Maraca’s Founder

Dan_Fahey

Dan Fahey served as The Director of Licensing and Properties for The Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club of The National Hockey League and as Director of Marketing for The Canadian Football League as well as the Vice President of Licensing for SkyDome in Toronto.

In all of these capacities, Dan's role was crucial to the inception, development and execution of countless national promotional marketing programs with some of Canada’s largest Blue Chip companies and organizations. Dan also developed and implemented highly successful national Licensing and Merchandising Programs for all of these organizations as well as planning and directing the operations of a number of Grey Cups, and numerous consumer and corporate events.

In 1987 after compiling a lifetime of experience in the promotional marketing industry, Dan founded Maraca with his son Brant. In the 20 years since, Dan guided Maraca as we grew into one of Canada’s largest and most successful promotional marketing companies. Under Dan’s leadership Maraca worked with local, national and international clients throughout North America helping them to achieve their promotional marketing goals.

Dan and Maraca played a key role in the successes of some of Canada’s biggest events including the Canadian Grand Prix, Molson Indys in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto, World Youth Day 2002 and the Rolling Stones’ SARS relief concert.

Dan Fahey passed away in August of 2008, yet his commitment to quality, his ability to be flexible and innovative and his desire to provide our clients with solutions while always remaining trustworthy continues to be the foundation of our business philosophy at Maraca.
